Why Most Grow a Garden 2 Guides Have Wrong Data

If you have found contradictory numbers for this game, you are not confused — the published data really does disagree with itself. There are four specific reasons, and once you know them you can check any figure yourself.

1. Data copied from the original game

Grow a Garden and Grow a Garden 2 are separate games with separate numbers. Enormous amounts of data have been copied from the first to the second.

Disco, Blizzard, Moonlit, Wet, Chilled, Shocked and Solar Flare are all listed on Grow a Garden 2 sites and all belong to the original. The original's Chakra is 90×; this game's is 60×.

2. Decay timers published as growth times

Look up almost any crop's growth time and you will find '6h 40m'.

That is a decay constant, not a growth time, and it is identical across Sun Bloom, Moon Bloom, Hypno Bloom, Eclipse Bloom and Venom Spitter. The giveaway is exactly that: five unrelated crops do not share a growth time to the minute.

Real growth times are not published anywhere. They are readable in-game by hovering a growing fruit, since a July 2026 patch.

3. Stale prices from before a rebalance

Several pet prices were cut by roughly two thirds after launch, and no patch note documents it. Sites that have not refreshed since launch still show the old figures.

So Raccoon appears as both 15,000,000 and 5,000,000. Both were correct — at different times.

4. Raw weights presented as percentages

Some published drop tables sum to 118% or 133%. Those are raw weights, not probabilities, and every percentage inside them is of uncertain scale.

A drop table that does not sum to 100% cannot be read as odds. That single check will catch a surprising number of published tables.

How to check a figure yourself

Roblox's APIs are public. Player counts and achievement award counts can be pulled by anyone and cannot be faked.

For game values, the community wiki exposes the raw data table the game runs on — which is different from, and more reliable than, the article pages built on top of it.

And a quick heuristic: if a site publishes a shop price and a restock chance for an item that cannot be bought in a shop, it is inventing numbers.

Common questions

Why do Grow a Garden 2 guides have different values?

Four main reasons: data copied from the original Grow a Garden, decay timers published as growth times, prices left stale after an undocumented rebalance, and raw weights presented as percentages.

How can I check Grow a Garden 2 data myself?

Roblox's public APIs give live player counts and exact achievement counts. For game values, the raw data table behind the wiki is more reliable than the article pages built on it.
