Merging into the Eclipse Bloom
A fully grown Moon Bloom merged with a fully grown Sun Bloom using a Trowel produces the Eclipse Bloom, the game's only Secret crop.
Two things to get right: both parents are destroyed in the merge, and it fails if either plant is potted. Potting is the most common way people lose an 85 million Sheckle seed for nothing.
Moon Bloom value
Average sell value is 8,500 at 9.0 kg average weight, with a 4-minute prime window. It is multi-harvest, so it keeps producing after the first pick.
That places it just below the Sun Bloom at 9,000 and well below the Eclipse Bloom the pair produce at 12,000.
Moon Bloom or Sun Bloom?
If you are buying for the merge you need both, so the question is really which to buy first. The Moon Bloom is the cheaper half — 85,000,000 against the Sun Bloom's 110,000,000 — and it restocks more often, at 0.35% against 0.125%.
Unlike the Sun Bloom, the Moon Bloom does have a documented effect: jumping on its leaves produces a bounce.
How Moon Bloom sale price is actually calculated
The game calculates a fruit's sale price like this:
Price = SellValue × SizeFactor × SizeMultiplier × MutationMultiplier × DecayPenalty × FriendsBonus, rounded down.
The part that matters most is SizeFactor, which is Size raised to the power of 2.5 for almost every crop. That is steeply non-linear: a fruit 50% larger sells for about 176% more, and one at double size sells for roughly 5.7×.
Two crops override it — Mushroom uses 1.9 and Bamboo 1.75, so oversized specimens of those are worth proportionally less than they would be otherwise.
Above a size of 5, diminishing returns kick in and the exponent drops to 1.5. Enormous fruit are still worth more, just not on the same curve.
Decay costs 80% of value at full decay, and each friend on your server adds 10%.
