How to get the Eclipse Bloom
There is no Eclipse Bloom seed and there never has been. It is produced by merging a fully grown Sun Bloom with a fully grown Moon Bloom using a Trowel.
Both parents are consumed permanently. The merge fails if either plant is potted — this is the single most common and most expensive mistake, because you lose two seeds worth nearly 200 million Sheckles combined.
What Stashly delivers
Because no Eclipse Bloom seed exists in the game, we deliver the two parent seeds — a Sun Bloom and a Moon Bloom. You grow both to full maturity in the ground, then merge them with a Trowel.
Do not pot either plant. Inventory seeds and half-grown sprouts do not merge; both must be fully grown in a plot.
It triggers Eclipse weather
Harvesting an Eclipse Bloom fruit starts server-wide Eclipse weather for 2 minutes. Harvesting again while an Eclipse is already running silently resets the timer to 2m 30s.
One thing widely got wrong: stealing an Eclipse Bloom does not trigger the weather. Only harvesting does.
Eclipse also occurs naturally, at a reported daytime chance, so the Eclipse Bloom is not the only route to it.
Eclipse Bloom value
Average sell value is 12,000, at 9.0 kg average weight.
It is ranked third of 70 crops by value, behind Mushroom and Maple Mushroom. Some sites call it the highest per-fruit value in the game — that is not correct, and it is contradicted by the same sources that publish it.
How long it takes to mature
Watering to maturity takes roughly 280 Super Watering Cans, or about 72 with a Super Sprinkler — which is the practical reason most people use the sprinkler.
A plain elapsed growth time is not published anywhere, but it is readable in the game itself: since a 19 July 2026 patch, hovering over a growing fruit shows how long remains before it is harvestable. We are capturing that rather than repeating an estimate.
How Eclipse Bloom sale price is actually calculated
The game calculates a fruit's sale price like this:
Price = SellValue × SizeFactor × SizeMultiplier × MutationMultiplier × DecayPenalty × FriendsBonus, rounded down.
The part that matters most is SizeFactor, which is Size raised to the power of 2.5 for almost every crop. That is steeply non-linear: a fruit 50% larger sells for about 176% more, and one at double size sells for roughly 5.7×.
Two crops override it — Mushroom uses 1.9 and Bamboo 1.75, so oversized specimens of those are worth proportionally less than they would be otherwise.
Above a size of 5, diminishing returns kick in and the exponent drops to 1.5. Enormous fruit are still worth more, just not on the same curve.
Decay costs 80% of value at full decay, and each friend on your server adds 10%.
How do you get the Eclipse Bloom in Grow a Garden 2?
Merge a fully grown Sun Bloom with a fully grown Moon Bloom using a Trowel. Both parents are consumed, and the merge fails if either plant is potted.
Is there an Eclipse Bloom seed?
No. No seed exists and it cannot be bought in-game. It is merge-only.
How much is the Eclipse Bloom worth?
12,000 on average. It ranks third of 70 crops by value.
Does stealing an Eclipse Bloom trigger Eclipse weather?
No. Only harvesting a fruit triggers it. The Eclipse lasts 2 minutes, resetting to 2m 30s if you harvest again during one.
