What the Raccoon does
The Raccoon's ability is described as: “Sneaks out at night to steal fruit from unlocked gardens and raises your steal limit by +25 (the steal ability can be stopped if the player hits it with a shovel, shooing it away)”
We have not been able to confirm this is the exact in-game wording. Every source we found traces back to the same community wiki, and none shows a screenshot. We are quoting it because the substance is consistent everywhere, but treat the phrasing as a paraphrase until we can photograph the tooltip.
Raccoon price — why you'll see two figures
The current price is 5,000,000 Sheckles. Many guides still list 15,000,000, and that is not an error on their part — it was the launch price.
Prices for several pets were cut by roughly two thirds at some point after release. We traced the changeover to a window between early and mid August 2026, but no patch note anywhere documents it — the Fall Harvest notes make no mention of pet price changes. So both numbers were correct once, and sites that have not refreshed since launch are showing the old one.
We publish the current figure and name the old one, rather than pretending the discrepancy does not exist.
