Weather and Moons in Grow a Garden 2

Weather is where Grow a Garden 2 data goes most wrong online, because the original game's weather list has been copied across wholesale.

Daytime weather

Rain (5m) doubles growth speed and revives decaying plants — no mutation, and one of the most useful events despite that.

Lightning (5m) applies Electric, 25×.

Starfall (2m) applies Starstruck, 50×.

Sunburst (5m) applies Ignited, 60×.

Snowfall (2m30s) applies Frozen — multiplier disputed.

Aurora (2m) applies Aurora — multiplier disputed.

Eclipse is the one you control

Eclipse does not roll on the rotation. It triggers when someone harvests an Eclipse Bloom — and only harvesting works, not stealing.

It grants Eclipsed at 80×, the highest verified weather multiplier in the game, and lasts 2 minutes. Harvesting again during an active Eclipse silently resets the timer to 2m30s.

The night moon roll

On entering Night one moon is rolled: Normal 77%, Gold 13%, Rainbow 6%, Blood 2%, Mega 2% — exactly 100%.

Gold and Rainbow Moons spawn their respective seeds, but not with fewer than two players in the server. Mega Moon spawns Mega Seeds and enlarges your avatar.

Weather that is not in this game

Blizzard, Disco, Solar Flare, Lightning Storm and the mutations Moonlit, Wet, Chilled and Shocked all belong to the original Grow a Garden.

Tornado is not weather either — it is the Wind Staff gear's ability. Werewolf is real Fall Harvest content but not a weather event, and its mechanics are undocumented.

Common questions

What weather gives the best mutation in Grow a Garden 2?

Eclipse, granting Eclipsed at 80×. It is also the only weather you can trigger deliberately, by harvesting an Eclipse Bloom.

Is Blizzard in Grow a Garden 2?

No. Blizzard is from the original Grow a Garden, along with Disco, Solar Flare and Lightning Storm.
