Every Egg and Chest in Grow a Garden 2
Every egg and chest in Grow a Garden 2, and where each one actually comes from — Guild Rewards, Cornucopia Quests or the Store, with one (the Sugar Egg) not currently obtainable at all. The two Store containers are the ones most people are weighing up, because both are opened for the same reason: the Kitsune. Their drop tables are set out side by side below.

What eggs are
Eggs are items in Grow a Garden 2 used to obtain Pets.
Eggs are hatched to obtain Pets, which have passive abilities and improves the player's garden.
Eggs vary in rarity, with rarer eggs having a higher chance of hatching rarer pets.
Exclusive Harvest Egg
The hatch odds for this one are genuinely disputed. Two tables circulate and both sum to exactly 100%, so arithmetic cannot separate them.
| Pet | Version A | Version B |
|---|---|---|
| Scarecrow | 71.84% | 44.9% |
| Jackalope | 20% | 50% |
| Red Panda | 8% | 5% |
| Kitsune | 0.16% | 0.1% |
Exclusive Fall Chest
This one is settled.
| Drop | Chance |
|---|---|
| Legendary Fall Seed Pack ×5 | 50% |
| Fall Common Egg ×5 | 44.9% |
| Red Panda | 5% |
| Kitsune | 0.1% |
Pet variant chances
Every pet from either container rolls its variant independently: Big 10%, Rainbow 5%, Mega 0.1%.
Those stack with the pet roll rather than replacing it. A Mega Kitsune from the Harvest Egg comes out at roughly 0.00016% — about one in 625,000.
These are the odds for a pet hatched from a container. A pet spawned onto the map by the Harp rolls on a different and much harsher table — 0.5% Big, 0.002% Mega. Same words, different source, very different numbers.
Which is the better Kitsune route?
The Harvest Egg, on either published table. At 0.16% you would expect around 625 eggs; at 0.1%, around 1,000. The Fall Chest is 0.1%, so roughly 1,000 either way.
Both are averages, not guarantees — you can open two thousand and get nothing. Nearly everything you open will be Scarecrows, Jackalopes and seed packs.
That is the honest case for buying the pet directly rather than rolling for it, and it is why we publish the odds rather than burying them.
Why we show tables that sum to 100%
A drop table that does not sum to 100% is incomplete or wrong. Several published Grow a Garden 2 tables sum to 118% and 133% — those are raw weights being presented as probabilities, which makes every percentage inside them misleading.
Both tables above sum to exactly 100%, which is how you can tell they are complete.
Common questions
What are the Kitsune odds in Grow a Garden 2?
0.16% or 0.1% from the Exclusive Harvest Egg depending on which published table you use, and 0.1% from the Exclusive Fall Chest. Roughly one in 625 to one in 1,000.
Which container is better for a Kitsune?
The Exclusive Harvest Egg on either table, though the difference is small. Expect hundreds of openings on average either way.
What are the Mega and Rainbow pet chances?
Every pet rolls independently: Big 10%, Rainbow 5%, Mega 0.1%. A Mega Kitsune is roughly one in 625,000.
Why do some Grow a Garden 2 drop tables add up to more than 100%?
Because they are raw weights presented as probabilities. A table summing to 118% or 133% has not been normalised, so every figure in it is of uncertain scale.
